I don't know his car history, but he was one of the finest actors. Playing in three of my favorite movies. Lawrence of Arabia, The Lion in Winter and Man of La Mancha. The movie/musical responsible for this.
I felt his passing merited some recognition from us.

I was sad and shocked to hear that today on CNN. Anyway, he starred in this great movie with Audrey Hepburn where he plays a car thief in Paris. He drives a Series I XKE convertible if memory serves.
